Winter Ice Skating in the Lakes
I have just heard that both Sizergh Castle and Brockhole visitor centre are having outdoor ice skating rinks this winter. I am really looking forward to the whole family having a go on skates… but Tilly isn’t so sure and is looking forward most to the hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Sometimes the simplest things in life are free and the most enjoyable. One sunny afternoon we set off armed with two fishing nets,our wellies and a picnic, we spent a couple of idyllic hours pottering in the local stream.
